UPKARMA (ALTERNATE THERAPIES)

Shirodhara

Shirodhara is a traditional technique in Ayurveda where therapeutic oils or herbal extracts are gently poured onto the forehead. This practice induces a tranquil state of consciousness, promoting a balance between the mind and body. The therapy’s calming impact on both the mind and body can be attributed to the synchronization of brain wave activity, particularly alpha waves, which promote relaxation.

Calming therapy

This form of musculoskeletal therapy targets various body areas such as the lower back (Kati), neck (Greeva), knees (Janu), and heart (Hridaya). Its purpose is to alleviate pain, alleviate tightness, restore movement, and address other musculoskeletal issues. The procedure entails an initial consultation and evaluation, followed by the primary treatment. This non-invasive, passive therapy offers pain-free deep tissue treatment, contributing to improved musculoskeletal well-being.
